As part of the U.S. Postal Service’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive, held each year on the second Saturday in May, local residents were asked to place bags of food at their mailboxes on May 14. Postal carriers picked up the bags along their routes and took them to area post offices. That same day, volunteers from McKendree United Methodist Church and First Christian Church of Lawrenceville transported the food from four Lawrenceville post offices to the Co-Op, where it was later sorted for distribution to Co-Op clients. Many thanks to all who participated in this annual food drive!
